How to build the bottom and front of the self-build sauna
These steps describe the installation of the bottom and front of the sauna, with emphasis on precision and correct connection of the profiles and panels.
Preparation:
Make sure the sauna surface is level and paved.
Place the slippers on the surface.
Assembly of Slippers and Profiles:
Screw the two half-moon mounting bars onto the front side of the slippers with four 5.5x100 screws.
Place the middle full moon profile in the middle of the slippers and make sure the frame is angled. Screw the profile with two 4.5x60 screws at an angle of 45 degrees.
Installing Half Moon Profiles:
Place four left crescent profiles on the left side and screw them in at an angle of 45 degrees.
Repeat this for four right crescent profiles on the right side.
Drill Holes and Add Weatherstrip:
Drill a 10mm diameter hole in the middle against the outer wall in the slots of each profile.
Stick a rubber weatherstrip into both grooves on the inside, over the screw heads.
Front Wall Installation:
Place the middle part of the front wall in the groove and make sure it connects to the bottom of the groove and is in the middle. Screw this with a 4.5x60 screw.
Place the two sides of the front wall and make sure they fit properly into the groove and that the numbers match. Screw the side panels to the center panel with 4.5x60 screws for the bottom and 5x100 screws for the top.
