Due to the changes in temperature, the wood in the sauna works. As a result, you may get cracks in the sauna. This is also known as capillary action. You can easily solve this by tightening the sauna straps.
We recommend doing this twice a year. Once when the outside temperature gets warmer and once when it gets colder. So the transition from winter to spring and from summer to autumn.
You tighten the sauna straps as follows:
1. On one side of the sauna, you will see two wire ends with nuts attached to the stainless steel strap;
2. You should loosen these nuts a bit. It is important that you do not unscrew them completely;
3. With a rubber hammer, you then knock on each beam at the level of the front and back walls. By knocking this, you ensure that all bars are back in the right place;
4. You tighten the nuts firmly again. Do this as far as possible. If you can't go on, it's secure.
The result is that the beams surround the walls properly again and that the cracks disappear.
