How should I start a fire?

How should I start a fire?

Always burn with dry, untreated wood. Use the Swiss method: stack wood crosswise and light it at the top.

All our outdoor cooking products work with a wood-burning fire. The best thing is to untreated and dry wood to use. This is extra important because you also use it to prepare food.

You should light the fire according to the Swiss method, also known as reverse firing. This method ensures the least smoke generation and the fastest, most complete combustion.

Here's how it works:

  • Lay the logs crosswise and build a kind of tower.
  • Finish with the smallest pieces of wood on top.
  • Light the fire from above on.

Do you need to supplement wood? Then always put it there modestly a few blocks away. This prevents the fire from getting too hot and you keep control.
